...Chaz Cone, (C5R#W0526)...

Once more, it seemed like a good idea at the time...

Vince Pedraza (C5R#X1576),

tired of all the Atlanta-area C5 Registry events being arranged by me, decided to organize a late fall road tour of the North Georgia mountains ending with brunch at the Brass Town Valley Resort. Great idea!

Vince put out an email to the C5Net and to Atlanta Area C5ers giving a choice of dates. Always exercising her need to be in absolute control, Marlene Mitchell (C5R#W0659)

picked the date: today, December 10th. So be it.

Eight C5s met at the Arby's on GA 400 near Dawsonville, GA at 9am this morning. It was a grey day (sorta like the background of this page) and chilly. Here we are:

Left to right are:

Ron Robinson, Marlene Mitchell, Vicky Hardt, Bob Hardt, Vince Pedraza, Lisa Eskenazi, Cary and May Studley, Wayne Bruce, Eileen Bruce, Charlie Tiedt, Sue Tiedt, Beth Foley.

Not pictured were (two more folks whose names I failed to get) and (as usual), Chaz Cone

They are "supposed" to be making the traditional "C!" "FIVE!" hand signal -- but everyone didn't get the word; and Beth (as it's her first time) got her hands crossed...

NOTE: If you know who the couple in the Torch Roadser are that Vince and I failed to get the names of, please let me know by clicking HERE.

We had all three C5 bodystyles represented; here are the cars:

BTW, if you have difficulty reading the Arby's signboard, here it is larger:

Vince Pedraza
Bob Hardt
Marlene Mitchell
Chaz cone
Charlie Tiedt
??? ???
Cary Studley
Wayne Bruce

Also, BTW, the score was BSMs: 3, no BSMs: 5...

The tour to the Brass Town Valley Resort took about an hour. The roads were perfect Corvette roads -- and, since the leaf season was well behind us, no one was on the roads but us.

We went quickly -- very quickly. Sorry there are no pictures; there were some great opportunities but I had my hands at 10 and 2 o'clock the whole time...

Here's the Resort:

The brunch layout was excellent and, as a bonus, we were joined in the buffet line by Georgia Senator Zell Miller who is also our previous Governor. Cool!

The drive back was equally twisty, fast and fun. 'Way to go, Vince!
