Our Caravan to
Vettes On The Rockies (VOTR) 2006
This year, friends Buzz and Jackie Nielsen in their nearly identical 1953 Commemorative Edition Corvette #12:
..and friends Robin and Ron Floyd in their 2006 Monterey Red C6 Coupe:
..are all caravanning to Breckenridge, Colorado for Vettes on the Rockies; well, it seemed like a good idea at the time. The Nielsen's come from the Tampa area and the Floyds and the Cones from the Atlanta area -- and Colorado is a looooooong way from here. Just the same, we decided to do it.
Why? For one thing, the second 1953 Commemorative Edition Owners Reunion is being held there at VOTR and it seemed like a good idea to attend. The Floyds? Well, they're always up for a good time -- and a 3,000+ mile road trip.

The six of us got together for dinner in February 2006 to discuss the schedule:
VOTR is July 27-30th and (did I mention?) we live a pretty good distance away. We decided to leave Atlanta on Saturday, July 15th (Buzz and Jackie will come here the day before). It's my plan to update this website periodically (if not daily) as we make our way to and from Colorado.
